This standard backing material is available to printers as well as manufacturers of light table and densitometric equipment. Backstop is the only commercially available backing material that conforms to the ANS/ISO Standard 5/4 ñ1983, ANSI PH2.17-1985 which outlines conditions to be used for the measurement of press sheets, proofs, and off-press proofs with densitometers.

It provides a matte black, flat, firm surface necessary to prevent variation caused by surface irregularities, such as those found when making measurements on a pile of press sheets or other soft surfaces. Measures "11 x 17"
